Excellent design and function that has genuinely made life simpler. If only they made a premium version in metal/glass., October 21, 2016

This is the third (and I hope final) water filter system I’ve invested in over the last years. SO hard to find a design you are happy to have on your kitchen counter, let alone on the table. I was endlessly decanting into carafes. I am DELIGHTED by this system, KOR has created something streamlined, well-functioning, well-designed and incredibly useful; I keep a carafe in the fridge, and the second on the side in the unit. It’s quite tall, but measurements were made clear and it is not a bulky design. The water tastes delicious and interestingly my children have commented on it. And are drinking more, as am I. Worth noting that the unit is made out of BPA/EDC free plastic. And this leads to my only criticism/suggestion. I’m not a big fan of plastic. I would happily pay double for something a little more solid. The design is excellent but feels a little ‘plastic’-y, and I wonder how durable it will be. I would love to have the option of a metal frame, and a glass reservoir to match the glass carafes. The little knob that you turn to let the water ‘fall’ is also plastic; again its standing up to use so far but we will see how it goes. Nonetheless, I would strongly recommend this product, for its efficient design, convenience and aesthetic. It has simplified our water filtering/drinking habits and I am really pleased to see another brand on the market alongside SOMA –

I was in the market for a water filter that wasn’t a reverse osmosis system or anything that required actual plumbing or tubing work. Although there are quite a few choices out there, I probably was most drawn to this product due to its beautiful design.

On a more practical note, the filter is very easy to use. Since the carafe is separated from the actual filter unlike some other filters which have the filter attached to a pitcher, I am able to filter, pause the filter with the switch on the filter, pour myself a cup of water, and continue filtering. If I try to pour myself a cup of water while filtering with the pitcher types, the prefiltered water would possibly pour out as well.

I also really appreciate beautiful glassware which the carafe are very nicely made. The caps of the carafe are actually plastic, which although make it inconsistent, helps to keep the carafe not as heavy. Since there are two carafe included as well, I am able to keep one in the fridge and one at room temperature.

Well…. do I give it 5 stars or 1 star? I have bought two. The first one is great, so I bought a second one for my son. This second one has arrived without the actual filter included. I have tried to call Kor and their “MAIL BOX IS FULL….. GOOD-BYE.” Apparently, they are impossible to reach by phone. Needless to say, this is a little frustrating. I emailed them and am waiting for a reply. If I get prompt customer service, I will revise my review to 5 stars. It is overpriced for what it is, but it works. I like its simplicity….. just want my filter (and an extra as compensation.)
